Frequently asked questions.

Do I have to book an appointment before coming in?

We recommend booking an appointment to ensure you receive the dedicated time and attention you deserve. During your appointment, we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have and assist you in finding the perfect eyewear to suit your style and needs.

Do you offer eye exams?

While we don't provide eye exams ourselves, you're welcome to book an appointment to select your ideal eyewear. Once you've had your eye exam completed, you can easily forward us a copy of your prescription so we can begin crafting your eyewear.

Do I need to get my prescription before coming to Avenue Optical?

You're welcome to visit us and browse our selection even if you don't have your prescription yet. Once you've chosen your desired eyewear, we'll need a copy of your prescription to proceed with crafting your lenses.

What providers do you carry?

We offer an extensive selection of eyewear from top brands like JF Rey, Caroline Abram, and Maui Jim, among others. Visit us to explore our exclusive collection.

How long will it take to get my glasses after I've chosen a frame and lenses?

The time it takes to get your glasses ready can vary depending on the complexity of your prescription and the type of lenses you've chosen, but generally, it takes about 7 to 10 business days.

What is the difference between bifocals and progressive lenses?

Bifocals have two distinct optical areas—generally one for distance and another for reading—separated by a visible line. Progressive lenses offer a smooth transition from distance to near vision, allowing the user to see clearly at all distances without any abrupt changes or visible lines in the lens.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept a variety of payment options including credit cards, debit cards, and cash.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most vision insurance plans (for a complete list of insurance providers - click here). Please bring your insurance information with you, and we can assist in determining your coverage and benefits during your visit.
