Avenue Optical was founded in 1968 by William (Bill) Dickens and Alfred Clark. The company was built on a vision of innovation. During a time when frames were hidden from view in locked cabinets and only presented to customers by an optician, Bill and Alf saw an opportunity to offer a new customer experience. They chose to display their wide selection of frames and assist customers as they browsed for eyewear.

Today, Avenue Optical continues this tradition of innovation and excellence in customer service with a personal touch to help customers find eyewear that fit their individual style.
